Working with the Playground Centre has been an invigorating experience, as we have seen the vision for our new Junior Playground become a reality. Our previous playground space did not provide the type of outdoor facility that reflected a world-class school, by providing challenge and excitement for our younger students. We wanted to create a space that housed beautiful equipment constructed in natural materials to mirror the environment of our campus. We wanted to create zones within which students could push their boundaries, burn-off some surplus energy, but also find calm and peaceful spaces to relax with their friends.

Daniel and his team understood this brief, and provided an exceptional design service, with CGIs that enabled the school leadership to understand clearly what the end result would look like. We were able to select bespoke designs and natural materials for the playground equipment. The process of importing into Thailand can be complicated, but the Playground Centre supported us through this process. The quality of the finished product is truly exceptional, and we have a playground that is unique for international schools in Bangkok.

It is only fair to say that our new playground has fully transformed the children’s experience of playtimes in the school. The equipment has been perfectly well designed to stretch and challenge our students, many who have not played on equipment of this nature before. At first there was a lot of caution in how to play safely and what safe risk looked like – however the children grow in confidence and skill level every week, continuing to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills as they find new games to play. We are so pleased to see how playtimes are now a more positive time for our students – and therefore also for our teachers!

We thank Playground Centre for their support and expertise in design to ensure we now have a play space that will continue to support our student interests, engagement and skills as they grow through the primary years.

Tania and Playground Centre have helped me many times over the years in supplying play equipment for parks projects that I have been working on. Tania is always quick to respond, positive, and friendly. She always puts forward a few options and makes the process easy, even if the project changes. I would really recommend working with Tania and Playground Centre. I also like that the company are local and they work out of their Whanganui office and workshop.

Your bespoke play equipment, such as the epic lighthouse slide tower, shipwreck, 50m flying fox and Floor is Lava challenge are so popular, and by peppering in your inclusive equipment and games, the new playground has a wide range of options for different ages, abilities, sizes, and interests. It’s been amazing seeing everyone playing together, having a wonderful time, building strength and fitness, and creating memories.

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all your help and patience with the Awanui playground project. Our team and more importantly the kids are absolutely wrapped with the finished product. "The bomb" from one of the local kids!

Playground centre were amazing to work with the whole process of Memorial park. They took our ideas from the design phase and came up with a concept that told the stories of the park and took the poppy theme throughout the design.

They were right on time with manufacturing the structure and install was on time as well.

Looking at the design on paper looked just like what they constructed.

Also one great thing we have found with playground Centre is their back up service on their work and product.

What impressed me about Tania Osborne of Playground Centre was that she quickly listened to and learnt what the community wanted, and delivered a design concept that fitted the brief. Our community, supported by Council, wanted our District’s flagship playground to have points of difference, with a rural and rustic theme, fitting the character of Feilding being the Agri-business centre of the Lower North Island. Tania and the team at the Playground Centre have been an absolute delight to work with. During my tenure as a Parks Officer with the Horowhenua District Council (HDC) we engaged Playground Centre to install the Classic 902 modular playset at Solway Park, Levin.

Engagement was based on previous consultation with Tania Osborne during a routine council visit where she set an excellent example for your company. Her product knowledge, professionalism and communication meant that we decided to work with Playground Centre.

Once HDC had settled on a set of parameters to be incorporated into the new playground Tania quickly provided us with a number of modular playsets that fit our criteria, making our decision making process for final design simple and time efficient.

Provision of documentation and installer timeframes was completed swiftly, meaning that we were able to quickly provide a patient community with a finished product in a way that reflected positively on HDC, your installer, Playground Centre and in particular Tania.

I would have no hesitation in recommending other customers work with Tania and have passed on positive feedback for the Playground Centre as a result of the work that she put in to make sure the job was completed on time and within budget.

I would recommend Playground Centre for any school that is looking to improve their playground area. They were fast to send initial quotes and designs, and happy to relook and adjust numerous times until we had a good balance of our grand ideas and our actual budget! They enabled us to get an amazing result, incorporating some of our existing playground, getting our parent community together to be part of the install and the children to help create their own playground. It was wonderful to see everyone come together and help create this playground. The kids love it.

The Xtreme 557 fitness playground is an absolute hit with our senior students! They are all over it during break time and play a chase game as well as the usual swinging, climbing and monkeying around. Playground Centre has been very supportive throughout the process, from the first visit to introduce their products through to fundraising suggestions, and the formal paperwork including engineering specifications. We have appreciated working with them to modernise our play area for the senior students, and are thrilled with the playground.

I would like to express my gratitude to the team at Playground Centre for the service, Knowledge and Experience I received during the design and build project at the Aotea Lagoon Playground, your company has also showed these great skills on other projects within Porirua City. As usual I found dealing with the staff and contractors from the Playground Centre to be easy and convenient. The $200,000 project was ‘headlined’ by a Playground Centre designed and built light house tower. The design reflected the marine environment and replicated the old playground that was removed to make way for the new development.

The Playground Centre was flexible throughout the whole process and delivered a quality and innovative product that will be there for many years to come; in the harshest of environments.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the Playground Centres playgrounds to any local authority wanting a high quality and playable playground.

Playground Centre were engaged by Tauranga City Council to design a playground that would create an experience for all ages of children and encourage parents to visit the Tauranga CBD with their children. Playground Centre delivered a quality and outstanding play feature, on time and on budget that has surpassed councils expectations of use and attraction.

Hi there – I wanted to give you a BIG shout out to say “well done”! You have such fantastic, safe and fun play equipment. My boys (7 & 8) have been crawling, sliding, swinging and climbing all over the recently installed Playground Centre play equipment at Pharazyn Reserve (Waikanae Beach 5036). It looks great, seems pretty durable and you’ve also thought about those little things to make it extra safe e.g. covering the screw caps and chains.

The kids love it and a few adults too! I love how safe it is.

At Sancta Maria College we wanted to provide an area of fun play and physical challenge for our older students. The age of the students presented a unique challenge – we had to ensure that the equipment was age appropriate and not perceived as “kids’ stuff” in order to avoid the risk of the area becoming unpopular and unused.

We conducted a lot of research on available solutions, including taking students out and physically testing the equipment. We found that the Xtreme Elite equipment from Playground Centre was the most challenging and engaging – especially the “Muscle Buster”. Our one concern was that we wanted more height in order to provide greater challenge for the students.

The team at Playground Centre were all too happy to accommodate our ideas – from early consultation, through to providing artwork renders for school presentations and even allowing us to alter the equipment design, height and colour to suit our school requirements.

The installation also provided some challenges, but the Playground Centre team and their contractors rose to the challenge and created a finished product that is exactly what we desired at the start of the process. We are very happy with the results.

Just a word of appreciation, after 6 months in Auckland on ‘grandmother duty’ I’m utterly impressed with the quality and imaginative design of your equipment. The Auckland City Council is a great customer of yours and I’m pleased! My grandchildren enjoy your stuff so much and it’s relatively stress-free for the caregiver.
