Sustainable manufacturing processes

We manufacture and supply a wide choice of play and fitness equipment that is made from sustainably sourced, recycled and recyclable materials, including FSC and PEFC accredited timber, aluminium, steel and wood plastic composite (WPC).

An ‘everyone can play’ mindset

The practical application of user-centred (or human-centred) and universal (inclusive and accessible) design principles to ensure a play space can be used and enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.

Community-driven and inspired play spaces

Consultation with community groups, committees and user groups to design playgrounds which reflect the cultural and/or historical characteristics or future vision for a location or space – building belonging and celebrating diversity.

New Zealand made

The majority of Playground Centre products are manufactured in our local region – providing employment and training opportunities. Plus, a large proportion of the materials used in our play equipment is sourced from local suppliers.

Our manufacturing facility in Wanganui, New Zealand is ISO 9000 Certified, demonstrating our commitment to continuously improving our environmental management systems and processes.

Do you have equipment that is made from recycled or recyclable materials?

A huge range of our products – from adventure towers and climbing structures to carousels – are constructed using New Zealand made steel and aluminium, which is 100% recyclable. We offer the option to include decking, poles and posts made from 100% recycled and recyclable wood-plastic composites (WPC) supplied by our fellow New Zealand innovators.

At Playground Centre, we strive to conserve energy, manage water use and minimise waste to reduce the environmental impact of our operations.
