The case of the missing playground slide

The case of the missing playground slide

New Zealand’s Glenbervie School recently went through a slide saga, when their new double slide was stolen over the school holidays. As reported by the Northern Advocate, they put out calls to their community: to return the slide and support the school’s playground project via a Givealittle fundraising page.

The story has a happy ending. Not only did Playground Centre send a free replacement, but the original slide was found and the school raised an extra $900 for their playground. The school is asking students for ideas on what to do with the second slide, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with.

Student Asher Dry, 8, sums it up well: “…all the children are really, really happy.”
