Fit for Life
Recognising the growing demand for free outdoor exercise equipment, Christchurch City Council invested in the health of its residents with this modern, new fitness trail. Swings and slides add an element of fun, because you know what they say about all work and no play!
Design + Build
Playground Centre was proud to work with Christchurch City Council to design a modern health and play space to improve community health and wellbeing, provide opportunities for socialisation and foster a sense of belonging and connection.
Solution
Bordered by green playing fields, this small but mighty space combines fitness and play to entice the whole family into the great outdoors.
Build strength, balance and co-ordination on the classic Monkey Bar Fitness Station, and Chin Up Fitness Station.
Test your skills against those TV warriors on the 2.5m Ninja Climbing Wall and the Rotating Balance Log, then take the carousel for a spin.
Young and young at heart alike will enjoy the swings, with up to five children able to sit, lie or stand on the basket of Flying Saucer - Double Frame (1200mm basket, 2x standard seats).
Stone and fallen logs add a natural element to the space.
