“PGC's designs and 3D illustrations bring our ideas to life, making community consultation, decision-making and approvals a breeze”

Glen Finlayson, Parks Project officer, Palmerston North City Council

Gold in the hills, naturally

What better use for a sloping site than a traveller? Kids can now whiz down the hill to jump, climb and swing through the revamped nature-play space at Cloverlea Park, which seamlessly blends both formal and informal play elements to blend with the local environment.

Imagine + visualise

Palmerston North City Council wanted a vandal-resistant, nature-themed play space with wooden play equipment, which made the most of the sloping site, to replace the “old and tired” existing play space. Council was impressed with the 3D fly-through of the final design, which allowed its excited community to clearly see their vision for the playground come to life.

Rich vision realised

Natural elements of rocks, logs and plantings complement formal wooden equipment to create a rich play space which enhances the green, open surroundings.

What better way to use a slope than with the Timber Single Traveller, which has a seat suitable for all ages. The 30m flight path of the traditional flying fox has been lined with plantings by Council.

The has room for all with a large structure featuring a slide and a log bridge leading to a smaller structure, which is completed by a Rock Wall Fitness Station.

Stepping logs lead to the small, compact Edmonton 108 - Environmental perfect for challenging the skills of toddlers and pre-school children. Hours of fun are guaranteed with the shop front, interactive game panels, tunnel and slide.

No playground is complete without swings, and here the inclusive 4-Bay Timba Swing features a basket capable of fitting up to five children, along with two standard vandal-resistant seats.

Ride or scoot along the concrete paths, grab a drink from the fountain and enjoy a picnic at the table settings, which take advantage of natural shade.
