Play Priorities

Originally gifted to the community by former Hastings mayor George Ebbett and wife Eliza in 1927, a contemporary new playground will expand enjoyment of the well-loved Ebbett Park for generations to come.

Hastings District Council wanted a contemporary play space, designed in natural colours, to complement the mature trees, dog off-leash areas and open spaces already so popular with locals.

Officially opened by the Ebbett’s great-great grandchildren, with local community groups and school children in attendance, the new facilities designed by Creo are already proving a winner.

Fun Solution

Already a popular destination with locals, Hastings District Council wanted to expand Ebbett Park’s existing facilities with a play space which naturally blended with and complemented the open parkland.

Our Bespoke Tower in natural timber with a twisty green tube slide connected the junior and senior play areas with monkey bars and, was the perfect centre piece for Creo’s design. It features a variety of climbing areas, ladders, a crawl tunnel and open slide.

The Whirlpool climbing carousel is a great place to spin and climb on ropes, while the inclusive, all ages Flying Saucer Triple Frame (again accented in leaf green) takes all-comers  - babies, toddlers, children and the young-at-heart alike - to dizzying new heights.

Several standalone interactive elements, along with stepping logs for balancing, complete the play space. and toilet facilities were also introduced to the park, which have proved a winner with the Ebbett family, local community groups and young families.
