Play Priorities

The positive impact that nature has on our health and wellbeing is widely recognised, so it was no surprise that the Gisborne City Council chose to create a new playspace in the lush green surrounds of one of the city’s favourite parks.

High on the list of the Council’s priorities for this playground was an eco-friendly look and feel and a diverse range of play options that would encourage park-goers to stay, play, relax and enjoy the fresh air.

Fun Solution

Nestled amongst the trees, the playground was designed to make the most of the gently sloping site and incorporated materials and colours reflecting its natural setting.

At its heart is a large, multi-dimensional structure that would spark a sense of adventure in any child.

Kids can literally spend hours exploring the different, interconnected features of this unique, custom-built structure based around our TR326 Activity Hex Tower & Fitness. They can walk tall across the suspended bridge that links to the playground’s two towers. They can climb to the top of the highest tower and experience the thrill of riding down the long tube slide to the ground. And they can test their strength and agility on any one of the numerous rope climbing apparatus.
