Play Priorities
In line with Tauranga City Council’s mission to ensure its network of reserves caters for the wide ranging interests of local residents, a new playground was added to Tuihana Reserve.
Designed with community input, the nautical-themed space combines family play and fitness in the olive-tree lined reserve in a new housing subdivision, in the beach-side suburb of Papamoa.
Fun Solution
The Endeavour Play Ship, featuring slides, pole, climbing net and interactive play opportunities, is the centre-piece of this nautical-themed playground for the beachside suburb of Papamoa.
There’s a second free standing single slide as well as a Flying Saucer - timba frame single, which has room for up to five children to stand up or lie down as they take to the skies.
The Double Scaling Wall Fitness Station and customised Spin Bars Fitness Station with timber frame and metal bar offer the opportunity for both fun and strength building.
Given the proximity to the beach, our hurricane galvanised system was used to protect the playground and maximise longevity.
