Mohnheim: In memory of the great composer Johann
Sebastian Bach, the playground on the street named af-
ter him has been redesigned in mohnheim. At the centre
is a combined play equipment with the look of a big con-
trabass for climbing over, crawling into it and sliding down.
Climbing ropes in the form of staves connect the contra-
bass with a piano for balancing. A small sand construc-
tion site in the form of two large drums offers creative
and persistent play opportunities. Two flutes and a clari-
net make up the silhouette for a swing and a seesaw. The
stable green scaffolding and a seating suite make the
playground an attractive family gathering in the quarter.
